SCHOLARSHIP POLICY
*
Planetary Dharma offers partial scholarships rather than full scholarships for several reasons. First, we aim to distribute our resources evenly and fairly among those in need, ensuring that more students can benefit from our programs. Second, we believe that the ability for a student to contribute to their own tuition is an essential quality that reflects their commitment and readiness for the journey ahead. Taking personal responsibility for a portion of their financial investment is a vital part of demonstrating their dedication to the path. It’s crucial that our students are financially self-sufficient, as chronic financial challenges may indicate that someone is not yet fully prepared to enact and engage in the actions that the vows of the bodhisattvic path set forth, which require a heroic level of stability and preparedness. Lastly, we have unfortunately encountered instances where the need for a scholarship has been misrepresented or abused. For these reasons, we only offer partial scholarships to those who genuinely need them.
I am able to provide for the full investment in this course.
I am able to contribute a reduced tuition fee and will require a partial scholarship.
If you require partial support, please explain.
