Level 1 Questionnaire:

Every Level 1 student will be part of a small group that meets 10 Thursdays (evenings for US & Europe, mornings for Oceania) over the next 6 months, facilitated by Level 3 students who have been studying and practicing the course material for the past 2+ years. There is an expectation to attend and participate, as these small groups are vital opportunities to integrate and deepen your learning with the material. Please note, there may be lectures in addition to small group work on these Thursday gatherings.

We’ve put together a few questions that can help us design a small group dynamic for you that fosters safety, inclusiveness, being seen and valued, and thoughtfully being accountable to each other. As we start this next leg of our journey, let’s trust that ‘informed magic’ is unfolding to create an ideal learning environment individually and collectively.

Are you willing and able to make a commitment to attending your small group on Thursdays? Do you have experience with the small group setting? Do you have any time constraints that will prevent you from participating in your small group? If so, please list the dates you will be away from your small group. (The US & Oceania groups will meet together. Europe will meet as its own cohort).

Do you have any experience facilitating? Are you in a role like that currently?

What information would you like us to consider as we are designing a small group for you to practice and learn with consistently? For example, what stage of life are you in? What is your vocation? What cultural backgrounds, labels, pronouns do you identify with? What is your spiritual heritage? What experience do you have with practice?

What interests of yours feel compatible with the training we’ll be doing over the next few months?

If you had a magic wand that allowed you to draw together the most interesting group dynamic, what would you envision your small group to be like? What shared interests would make it interesting? We might not be able to give you what you want exactly, but we’ll be considering many perspectives in the composition of the groups.
