Creating a Sacred Space

Create a sacred altar/sacred space in your home or office for your practice sessions.

  • This retreat runs on Zoom, so be sure to download and sign up for use.

  • We suggest setting up two meditation areas: one on the floor where you can lie down, and another in a chair for when you need to give your body a break. Since we’ll be spending a lot of time connecting with the earth during this retreat, make sure your floor space has a yoga mat or a thick blanket if you don’t have carpet.

  • Have a lighter & incense - or Sage, Palo Santo, and/or a candle to light in ritual.

  • Treat yourself to some flowers for your altar. Keep your altar fresh and tidy.

  • Use airpods, head phones, or a blue tooth speaker for better sound quality.

  • Keep a notebook and pen nearby.

  • Have some tissues handy for pranayama or any tears of emotion that may come up.

  • Eat light foods during our meal breaks that are easily digestible: vegetarian, fruit, soup, broth.
