The origin of solstice comes from the Latin words for “sun” and “to stand still, and in this day and age — especially during the holidays and during the Winter months — people actually are looking for permission to slow down and stop. That’s why meditation makes a lot of sense. The days are shorter and the Earth is slowing down. Winter is the perfect time for us to build our inner strength, energy and resolve! This winter intensive draws upon the Mother Tantra, a feminine approach to nondual recognition reintegrating identity into the open ground of being through resolving the split between our minds and bodies.
